We used different digital technologies in order for our website in order to construct, research and plan our final pieces.
---------------------------------------------------------------- -Weebly: In terms of Weebly, this website was used in order for our group to have a place to add all of our ideas, our planning and our final pieces. In order for us to create any content (Poster, magazine and trailer), our team needed to do some form of research on existing horror movies, whether it was looking at past years poster and magazines and watching horror film trailer in our own time. In terms of finding out what type of film content that our group wanted to make, the main things that we used were Google and YouTube, this was because we thought that it would provide enough and detailed information on what we were looking for. An example of this was YouTube, through this we were able to find different horror film trailers and analysis them. This, enabled us to look at what different aspects of a horror film makes it intriguing, for example the jump scares, the amount of times we see the antagonist, the use of sound, even the use of colour.

Horror genre – For this section of the development stage, Google in particular helped as it allowed me to add pictures of existing horror film images, in addition to finding out things other than the film content itself that could be interesting like how the Human Centipede was banned in many different countries. YouTube helped due to the fact that it allowed me to use the link of trailers to add onto the website. Photoshop was used to scan the storyboards and Powtoon was used to present the semiotics section and the different genres of horror.

Textual analysis – For the textual analysis section of the development stage, Google, YouTube and other websites such as Wikipedia and IMDB, helped us, as it allowed us to research basic information about the film, such as the release date, how much the budget was in addition to how much it made in the box office. For YouTube, that helped as it allowed us to know what type of camera work, editing techniques and sound that the trailer used for the trailer we were looking at and how effective it was. Google helped with the images, and Wiki and IMDB helped with the information regarding the name of the actors, the release date and so on.

Concept & Treatment - For the concept and treatment section of the development stage, the digital technology used were Google - which helped in terms of the images used for the treatment sheet. Additionally the websites Wikipedia and IMDB was used to get information for existing film examples that we were inspired by. These websites helped us get information such as the budget, release date and how much it grossed. Furthermore PowToon was utilised in order to create a presentation in which we presented to our peers, the different film influences that our group had liked and how the different attributes in the film could help us narrow down what we wanted in our own trailer. This form of digital technology was effective due to the fact that it allowed the audience to be more engaged in the presentation as it allowed us to add links from YouTube of existing trailers in addition to sound and images. This enabled our presentation to be more stylistic, in comparison to something like Microsoft PowerPoint. Also, in the concept & treatment section, Photoshop was used in order too scan the audience feedback we got from the presentation and putting it onto Weebly.
